  • Calculation of spatial filtration of water to a horizontal drain of finite length in a homogeneous stream

    When studying the problems of water filtration to a single horizontal imperfect drain of finite length, in a system of interacting horizontal imperfect drains, it is necessary to consider spatial (three-dimensional) filtration problems. Unlike flat (two-dimensional) problems, spatial filtering has been studied in less detail, since it is difficult to obtain rigorous solutions to their problems.

  • Automated control system for the drying process of ceramic bricks

    The work is devoted to an urgent problem - the development of automated process control systems for the production of bricks with improved characteristics. The purpose of the article is to define and systematize the tasks of automation of brick production control systems, to develop both an algorithm for managing brick production and a generalized structure of automated control systems for brick production, and the tasks of the work are: optimization of control automation levels that determine the generalized structure of automated control systems for brick production, determination of information collection subsystems corresponding to the stages of brick production, and development of their structures, the choice of basic measurement tools for information collection subsystems. The results of the work are: systematization of requirements for modern automated process control systems, development of an algorithm for controlling technological processes and a generalized structural scheme of automated process control systems for brick production, development of information collection subsystems for the developed automated process control system, development of the structure of a local automated process control system in brick production - brick drying. The developed technical solutions can be recommended for control automation in various industries.

  • Study of differences in fire regulations between Russia and China in the design of gas distribution pipelines

    The article considers the requirements of regulatory documents to ensure fire safety during construction and operation of gas distribution pipelines in Russia and China. The different approach to fire risk reduction in the two countries is revealed: more specific and stringent requirements in China and general requirements related to fire hazardous facilities in Russia.

  • Automatic text summarization: overview of algorithms and approaches to quality assessment

    The paper presents an overview of the task of automatic text summarization. The formulation of the problem of automatic text summarization is carried out. The classification of algorithms for automatic text summarization by the type of the resulting summary and by the approach to solving the problem is carried out. Some existing problems in the field of automatic text summarization and disadvantages of certain classes of algorithms are described. The concepts of quality and information completeness of the summary are defined. The most popular approaches to the assessment of the information completeness of the summary and their classification in accordance with the methodology used are considered. The metrics of the ROUGE family are considered in relation to the task of automatic text summarization. Special attention is paid to the evaluation of the information completeness of the summary using such metrics of information proximity as the Kulback-Leibler divergence, the Jensen-Shannon divergence and the cosine distance (similarity). The metrics mentioned above can be applied to the text vector representations of the initial text and summary. The text vector representation in question can be performed using such methods like frequency vectorization, TF-IDF, static vectorizers and so on.

  • Mathematical modeling of stress-strain state of the Kuznetsovsky tunnel under reconstruction

    The large-scale development of Russia's lands led to the creation of a railroad network. Along with the laying of the railroad, the entire transportation infrastructure, such as bridges, tunnels and overpasses, was erected. Many structures are already more than 100 years old. The structures are deteriorating and approaching the end of their life cycle. It is therefore necessary to reconstruct or dismantle these structures. Due to the increased freight traffic between China, Russia and Western Europe, it is necessary to reconstruct all tunnels on the BAM. This paper presents one of the tunnel reconstruction options and investigates by mathematical modeling the stress-strain state of the system "array-construction" by which the tunnel can be reconstructed.

  • Construction control during the construction of monolithic structures of multi-storey reinforced concrete buildings

    The article discusses the measures of construction control during the construction of monolithic structures. The quality of technological processes in the construction of reinforced concrete buildings determines the existing problems of their reliability and durability. As a result, there is a need for construction control during the construction of facilities. The concept of construction control is defined. The structural and technological types of buildings are investigated. The stages of construction at which construction control is carried out are considered. The methodology for improving the efficiency of organizational and technical solutions during construction control has a significant impact on reducing construction time, and also minimizes the number of defects and deviations.

  • Numerical modeling of the stress-strain state of compressed reinforced concrete pillars reinforced with composite materials

    Currently, a large amount of research is devoted to the use of polymer composite materials applied for increasing the strength and durability of reinforced concrete elements. In compressed reinforced concrete columns, the bearing capacity depends on the eccentricity of the external force application and the corresponding stress-strain state, as well as on the arrangement and quantity of composite materials bonded to the surface of the structure. The choice of the arrangement scheme of composite materials depending on the stress state of the structure is of current interest for researchers. At the same time, studies conducted on centrally compressed elements often have contradictory effects. The main purpose of this study is to perform numerical experiment of a digital model for the centrally compressed concrete column reinforced with composite materials. The calculation results for 3 short columns with different reinforcement schemes are presented. It is shown that the use of composite materials to reinforce structures increases the bearing capacity up to 10%. Based on the study results, recommendations on the optimal schemes of reinforcement with composite clamps of inflexible columns reinforced in the transverse direction are proposed.

  • Studies of vertical displacements of a high-rise building under various options for applying wind loads to frame elements

    The article presents the results of the calculation of a high-rise building, the load-bearing frame of which uses wooden structures. With a significant height of the structure, wind load begins to have a significant impact on the deformability of the frame. A calculation scheme is proposed, in which two options for applying wind pressure are considered - on columns and in floor beams.

  • Features of the space-planning organization of a residential building of the bulgarian renaissace (1762-1878)

    The new socio-economic and political conditions of the North Bulgarian Renaissance (1762-1878) determined the way of life, the nature of relationships in society, and its material environment. The object of their influence was primarily residential development, which revealed a variety of architectural forms. Their volumetric and planning features are determined by new ideological and artistic views. At the same time, unity is revealed in architectural diversity, predetermined by local natural and climatic conditions, sustainable construction technologies, and the revival of ancient spiritual and historical and cultural traditions. This article analyzes the development of techniques for the architectural organization of a residential building in the context of settlement and chronology.

  • Historical buildings in the city of Nalchik

    The article examines the epoch-making buildings of the city of Nalchik, which include the educational campus (LUG) and Stalin's dacha. The work provides historical information on these objects, architectural, artistic and planning solutions, their significance for the city. The main purpose of epoch-making buildings, according to the authors, is to preserve these objects for citizens and residents of the republic, as the historical and cultural heritage of the people, which must be recreated for future generations and preserve the recognizable unique image of the city.

  • Reinforcement with composite materials to protect the reinforced concrete slab–column from pushing through the node

    Reinforced concrete flat slabs continue to be one of the most popular floor systems due to the speed of construction and their inherent flexibility in the layout of the premises. However, flat, non-rigid floors are subject to brittle fracture at the junction of the slab and column, which can spread and lead to the progressive collapse of a larger segment of the structural system. The lack of shear strength in two directions may be due to design errors, insufficient strength of the material, or overload.

  • Comparison of the effectiveness of edge detection methods in road surface images depending on size and format

    Road surface quality assessment is one of the most urgent tasks in the world. To solve it, there are many systems that mainly interact with images of the roadway. They work on the basis of both traditional methods (machine learning is not used) and machine learning algorithms. Traditional approaches, for example, include methods for edge detection in images that are the object of this study. However, each of the algorithms has certain features. For example, some of them allow to get a processed version of the original photo faster. The following methods were selected for analysis: "Canny algorithm", "Kirsch operator", "Laplace Operator", "Marr-Hildreth algorithm", "Prewitt operator" and "Sobel Operator". The main indicator of effectiveness in the study is the average time to receive the processed photo. The initial material of the experiment is 10 different images of the road surface in 5 sizes (1000x1000, 894x894, 775x775, 632x632, 447x447) in bmp, jpg, png formats. The study found that the "Kirsch operator", "Laplace Operator" and "Prewitt Operator" and "Sobel operator" have a linear dependence of O(n), the "Canny algorithm" and the "Marr-Hildreth algorithm" have a quadratic character of O(n2). The best results are demonstrated by the "Prewitt Operator" and the "Sobel Operator".

  • Development of the educational and research laboratory stand based on the programmable logic controller SPK110

    The laboratory base in higher educational institutions should be equipped with modern stands with equipment that corresponds to the technological level of the real equipment of industrial enterprises. Practical training of highly qualified engineering personnel in the field of industrial automation is one of the key factors in the technological development of the material production sectors of our economy. The formation of students' skills required by the real sectors of the economy is possible only during practical and laboratory classes using laboratory stands based on modern domestic equipment. The article discusses the issues of designing and constructing a mobile multifunctional laboratory stand for the industrial automation based on the programmable logic controller of the national production SPK110, provides a functional diagram and wiring diagram of the laboratory stand, provides a complete list of electrical components used to create the stand. The performed economic assessment of the manufacture of the laboratory stand gives grounds to conclude that it is economically feasible to produce such stands by the staff of the departments of industrial automation. The article also shows the experience of introducing this laboratory stand into the educational process of bachelor's degree preparation in the direction of 15.03.04 “Automation of technological processes and productions". The laboratory stand based on the SPK110 is a multifunctional, mobile stand designed to implement multi-level tasks of industrial automation, which can also be used as a visual aid when conducting career guidance and exhibition events in extracurricular premises. The project to create the laboratory stand can be scaled up in other higher educational institutions of our country without spending time on the preparatory and research parts.

  • Optimal design of surface acoustic wave transversal filters

    This paper is devoted to optimization of surface acoustic wave bandpass filters with apodized interdigital transducers (IDT). Iterative Parks-McClellan algorithm is applied to estimate the apodization coefficients of the IDT fingers. A family of corresponding subroutines is developed in the Matlab mathematical package. The simulation results of the SAW filter optimized design are illustrated. For the refined estimation of the filter frequency response COM-based P-Matrices are employed. The results obtained in this study constitute a set of tools for the practical calculation of apodized IDTs and filters according to a given specification. Subroutines implementing COM-based P-Matrices can be utilized as part of programs for frequency-selective SAW devices design.

  • Methodology for the development of the test data generation tool "QA Data Source"

    The article discusses the author's methodology for designing and developing a test data generation tool called "QA Data Source", which can later be used in software testing. The paper describes the basic requirements, application functionality, data model, and usage examples. When describing the application, methods of system analysis and modeling of information processes were used. As a result of the application of the proposed model for the implementation of information processes, it is possible to significantly reduce the time and resources for generating test data and subsequent product testing.
