The article deals with the processes of separation of thin films of oil liquids on the basis of rotary-belt type devices. The analysis of interaction of liquids and working body is made. The model of formation of oil films and their separation is described. the Studies create prerequisites for the development of engineering methods for calculating the design and operating parameters of the rotor-belt device for the formation of emulsion films and cleaning water surfaces from oil films, which is of great environmental importance.

The process of cavitation is one of the reasons for the premature wear of pumping equipment components. Elements of a pumping wheel are subject to the greatest wear. In addition, cavitation causes undesirable effects such as vibration and noise. In order to reduce cavitational damage and increase the service life of pumping equipment, the authors of this article propose to install a special-shaped flow divider at the pump inlet that breaks the flow entering the pump into separate jets of a certain shape and structure.

The article deals with the issues of dispersion of heterogeneous liquids by spray nozzles in order to divide them into components. The influence of various parameters on the size of the droplets obtained is investigated. For the mathematical description the probabilistic approach is applied, which allows to obtain a differential function of the particle size distribution, which can form the basis of the engineering method of calculation of this class of separators. An expression for determining the average value of the angular velocity of the internal flow is compiled. These dependences allow us to calculate the most probable value of the angular velocity corresponding to the decay of complex drops into secondary ones, which are the drops of the initial liquids.

The article deals with the issues of impact interaction of particles with layers of dispersed material of different thickness. The influence of the interaction velocity and the thickness of the substrate on the appearance and structure of the collision result is investigated. It is established that at low speeds there is a crater formation while the particle is on the substrate surface. With the growth of the interaction rate, the formation of a crown is observed, and particles penetrate into the substrate material. Experimentally determined the values of the velocity and thickness of the substrate, corresponding to the beginning of the formation of the crown.

Regulating the flow of liquids in pipe systems is carried out by different types of control valves. In the petroleum and chemical industries the most widely regulating valves straight-through type. However, in many constructions of valves of this type the problem of cavitation is not resolved completely. With the aim of reducing the negative impact of cavitation on the valve body and pipeline the authors have proposed and developed new designs of valves uniflow type organization of the fluid flow in internal cavities which helps to reduce cavitation effects.

the article presents an overview of the most common ways of measuring the volume (mass) of bulk materials currently used in various industries. The comparative analysis presented in the article methods of assessment. It is established that current methods of calculating volumes of granular media have a number of disadvantages, which significantly affects the quality of the product and its value. It is revealed that it is most expedient to carry out measurement of the volume of granular media directly in the containers or the vehicle taking into account the main characteristics of the material — moisture content, bulk and true density, temperature and fractional composition.

Developed a rapid method for evaluation of the homogeneity of mixtures hardly separated granular materials, the analysis of which is the use of known methods is impossible or time-consuming. The method is based on the separation of mixture components by color using computer processing of pictures of her samples. In this article shows the known constructions of gravitational continuous devices for mixing of bulk materials and the conditional classification of these devices. There is the problem of obtaining mixtures in cases when the volume-weighted amount of one component of the mixture is significantly greater than the second (with the ratio of their mass fractions of 1:10, and more). Typically, in the production for mixtures with a ratio 1:10 are used mixers centrifugal type, which operate in a periodic mode. The problem could be successfully solved using gravitational devices that operate in a continuous mode. The classification represented according to the design of mixers. The levels conventional classification for these mixers: (a) used or no additional mixing elements ; (b) the nature of their physical - mechanical properties.
