This paper describes profile calculations of the shaper cutter for a splined bushing. The calculations are accompanied by modeling of the surface geometry to discover potential defects in generating the shape of a part and the subsequent editing of the shaper cutter’s profile

The paper describes distinct types of problems of generating surfaces by rolling. An algorithm has been developed to find a conjugate point, which became the basis for a procedure to determine the profile of a conjugate element, the procedure being the main one for a number of problems of surface generating by rolling for different types of elements.
