In the past few years, China has seen a surge in the use of building information modeling (BIM), and the industry has seen many of the benefits of virtual design and construction. The integration of BIM technology into the industrialization of construction is seen as a promising opportunity to improve the performance of modular and industrial construction. This article first reviews the history of the industrialization of the Chinese construction industry, and then discusses the recent introduction of BIM in China. This paper focuses on using BIM to support modular construction and industrial construction in China. It also discusses the use of some advanced hardware, including the use of 3D laser scanners to collect the collected data and create a point cloud model for better coordination of the MEP system, as well as the use of a robotic total station for quick installation.

The introduction describes the potential of using new technologies in the design of flexible architectural forms from the point of view of the parametric approach. In the second part, attention is paid to the definition of such a concept as the architectural form, function and design. The third part deals with the essence of reciprocity in a structural context. The fourth part is devoted to the application of the parametric concept to rotating high-rise buildings and modular roofs. The possibility of designing such structures in the Grasshopper software environment is investigated. The conclusion assesses the effectiveness of the submitted development.
