Issues related to the features of multi-channel signal processing based on superresolution methods using a system with a quasi-ring arrangement of receivers are considered. The output characteristic is compared using the classical processing method (radiation pattern is formed) and the superresolution method (direction-finding relief is formed). As a basis of the signal processing algorithm, the property of 2π-periodicity of the angular dependence of the directivity characteristics of the receivers and the signal power is used. The issues of increasing the resolution in the angular direction of the received signals were studied during multichannel processing in a receiver system with a ring arrangement. The possibility of a significant improvement in resolution during the transition from the classical method to the method of superresolution is shown.

A novel compact easy-to-manufacture design of 20 dB directional coupler has been proposed for a high power operation within frequency band 4-12 GHz. In order to obtain the broad band frequency response a three-section asymmetric coupled strip-line directional coupler has been chosen. The periodic structures are introduced on the outer edges of coupled strip-lines for the wide-band compensation of the difference between phase velocities of even and odd modes. The successfully fabricated and tested coupler shows high electrical performances. The proposed 20 dB directional coupler provides within frequency band 4-12 GHz the coupling characteristic imbalance 0.5 dB, isolation 35 dB, directivity 15 dB and VSWR<1.35. The allowable input power of directional coupler is up to 100 W. The coupler dimensions are 39x35x26 mm.

As a solution eliminating the disadvantage of wired home theaters - the multiplicity of signal and feed wires - a method of wireless power transmission is proposed to charge the batteries of the side and rear speakers at a frequency of 2.45 GHz. The energy of the microwave radiation is converted into energy for charging the batteries by means of a special receiving module. The receiver module includes a receiving antenna, a rectifier and a power controller. This article discusses the calculation of the receiving antenna for this system in the structure of a wireless home theater. For the simulation, an antenna of the Yagi-Uda type was chosen, for which the gain and the beamwidth were determined. During the first stage of the simulation, antenna parameters were obtained that were unsatisfactory in the width of the directional pattern. At the second stage, the antenna design was modernized and a re-simulation was performed. Based on the results of this, it can be concluded that the parameters of the receiving antenna improved by 1.5 times, while the gain factor increased by 13%.

The paper presents results of a study of operational recursive methods for quasiharmonic signals frequency estimating over a short observation interval. Such methods should be used, for example, for adaptive control of directional pattern of hydroacoustic antennas in inhomogeneous medium. We proposed recursive expressions for realizations of four methods of frequency estimation within the limits of sliding observation interval. The expressions require a minimum number of mathematical operations, which does not depend on the observation interval length. We carried out comparative analysis of the speed, accuracy, and stability of the methods. The stability of the methods was analyzed based on results of model signals processing with constant amplitude, frequency, and initial phase in presence of additive white normal noise. The accuracy was investigated by the processing results of signals with slow varying amplitude and phase. The paper also presents the results of processing of long sequences of modulated signals with additive noise within a sliding window with predetermined duration. The obtained results make it possible to select from among the four methods the optimal one according to one or more criteria.

The characteristics of amplifiers on resonant-tunnel diodes (RTDs) are analyzed using the method of approximation to them and operating at frequencies close to resonant. It was revealed that the nonlinear and resonant properties of the amplifier on the RTD are related and determined from each other; the nonlinearity of the current-voltage characteristics of the RTD imparts a resonant curve to the form that usually occurs in the case of nonlinear reactivity. It is established that for large signals it is necessary to take into account the frequency dependence, which will complicate the course of the resonance curves. In this question, the most complete equivalent RTD scheme without simplifications.
