  • Static refined models of field-effect transistors with controlled transition junction bands from various semiconductors

The paper analyzes the output parameters of field-effect transistors with a contact gate (controlled junction (p-n junction or Schottky gate)) both from modern highly mobile semiconductors (such as AIIIBV, AIIBVI, etc.) and semiconductors such as Si, Ge. It is shown that when the span regions are reduced to micro- and nanoscale values and conditions for the action of strong electric field strengths arise, it is necessary to take into account the dependence of carrier mobility on this field. Comparative analyses of the obtained results with the classical known ratios are carried out.

  • Analysis of forest machines production in Russia

At present time, there are attempts to design and produce forest machines of highly-demanded classes in Russia. The paper evaluates the efficiency of forest machines under identical operating conditions. The analysis showed the possibility of using harvesters and forwarders of joint Belarusian and domestic production for logging works as an alternative to foreign forest machines. Evaluation of proposals revealed advanced Russian and Chinese models of forest machines. The research showed that in our country there are prerequisites for the development of forestry machine-building, while the main problem is the lack of production technologies for the manufacture of modern technological equipment and components. Under these conditions, the evolution of production on the national territory of forest machines and technological equipment without involving domestic or foreign capital and innovative technologies is a difficult task.

  • Model of brinkmanship and its simulation study

The topic of balancing on the brink is extremely relevant under present conditions of the real threat of nuclear war. A game-theoretic model is presented that describes the process of brinkmanship using the Caribbean crisis as an example. The results of research on such models and, accordingly, recommendations for decision makers depend significantly on the specific numerical values of the players' payoffs and the probabilities of certain events. Therefore, it is advisable to develop a software package that allows you to set different values of these parameters and conduct simulations for various control scenarios. The article proposes a program for implementing this approach.

  • Modeling of wind impact on a public building

The design of energy-efficient buildings is based on the analysis of the external climatic effects on buildings for various purposes, the parameters of the air environment inside which are well defined. Climate systems of buildings should neutralize the negative impact of the external environment, in particular wind exposure. It determines both the temperature regime of the room and the purity of the air inside them. The complexity of both theoretical research and the organization of field experiments or blowing models of buildings in a wind tunnel makes it necessary to resort to mathematical modeling of the wind impact on the school building based on the StarCCm+ program. Velocity fields were obtained for different directions of wind load, the excess heat loss of the building in certain directions was determined. The possibility of conducting such studies in a wider range of initial and boundary conditions is shown.

  • Improvement of the installation technology of the insulating lining of the radiant chamber of the natural gas steam reforming furnace

The paper presents the properties and nomenclature of products made of ceramic fiber used for insulating lining in steam reforming furnaces. On the example of the lining of the radiant chamber, the technology of mounting ceramic blankets on anchor studs, which is currently used in the construction and repair of reforming furnaces, is considered. The shortcomings of the existing technology are noted. These include the complexity of the process, the complexity of installation control and the high probability of uneven thermal conductivity of the lining surface due to hidden defects, as well as the spraying of ceramic fiber particles in the air that cause diseases. The nomenclature and technology of installation of insulating lining with ceramic blocks along guide tubes with subsequent resistance welding with the camera body is proposed. The technology will reduce the repair time, improve the thermal conductivity of the camera, reduce the risk of diseases.

  • Mode of generation and reception of difference frequency shear waves in a parametric profiler

Bottom sediments (UP to) are media in which both longitudinal and shear acoustic vibrations can be present. The presence of several velocity components in bottom sediments makes it possible to excite various types of waves, both longitudinal and shear. In this paper, methods of excitation, generation and reception of difference frequency shear waves (RF) created by parametric systems in (DO) in location modes are analyzed. The analysis of their work in the DO is presented, and their comparative characteristics are given in comparison with the excitation, formation and propagation of the field of longitudinal RFCs in the DO. • Study of changes in the local atomic structure of zinc ions in an aqueous solution in the presence of arachidic acid

The testing of technique for modeling the local atomic structure and X-ray absorption spectra for zinc ions in an aqueous solution in the presence of arachidic acid has been adjusted. Models of the local structure of zinc with different coordination geometries are considered: planar, pyramidal, tetrahedral, and octahedral. The cases of increasing distances between the zinc ion and water molecules in the plane and in the axial direction are simulated for octahedral coordination. It has been established that the most probable change in the local structure of the zinc environment in solution in the presence of arachidic acid is the removal of water molecules from zinc ions in the axial position and their further replacement with the formation of a bond with the carboxyl group of arachidic acid.
